Use of our immune strong pad

Correct use of the Immune Pad in relation to the child’s age

Understandably, we are often asked why we only recommend using this pad from the age of four.

This is primarily a precautionary measure. We therefore recommend reading our report “Are essential oils dangerous?” in our blog posts.

Our Immune-Strong Pad contains, among other things, the highly effective medicinal herb thyme. This is also the reason why we cannot recommend using it in infancy. In rare exceptional cases, thyme can lead to spasms of the larynx and respiratory arrest at this very early age.

Of course, this extremely rare overreaction in children, especially in very sensitive creatures, depends on the respective dose or concentration of the essential oil that thyme contains. For this reason, we deliberately do not use plant extracts and certainly not undiluted essential oils, as there is undoubtedly a greater risk of physically overtaxing the sensitive child's organism.

How small and rare the danger actually is is also shown by the fact that most cold baths containing thyme are approved for babies and toddlers aged three to six months. Scientific institutions such as the Phytopharmaceutical Cooperation, ESCOP, etc. also allow the use of thyme from the first year of life.

If you want to use our Immun-Stark-Pad earlier, which can undoubtedly be useful from time to time, then there is nothing wrong with that if you exercise appropriate caution. However, in exceptional cases of a child overreacting, you should seek medical help immediately.
