According to the HMPC (Committee of the European Medicines Agency), valerian is not only recognized as a traditional herbal medicine, but also medically and can be used very well as a sleep aid. During the day, valerian has a relaxing effect and in the evening it develops its sleep-inducing effect and improves sleep quality. Valerian develops its full potential after about one to two weeks. Hop blossom

The hop cones of the female inflorescences are medicinally effective. It is believed that these hop flowers have a similarly positive effect to the body's own sleep hormone melatonin. Unlike chemical sleeping pills, hops do not cause a "hangover" (daytime tiredness and weakness) the next morning; on the contrary: their calming, relaxing and, above all, anti-anxiety effect controls the sleep-wake rhythm in a particularly gentle way, as recent laboratory experiments have confirmed. The particularly good effect when used together with valerian root is reflected not least in the fact that the HMPC (Committee of the European Medicines Agency) has approved both not only as traditional herbal medicines, but also as medically recognized medicines. We at Löwenkind have acquired the diverse knowledge of medicinal herbs and created our highly effective Löwenpads for you. In this case, the much-loved Goodnight Pad, which combines lavender blossoms, lemon balm leaves, valerian root and the aforementioned hop blossoms to create a wonderful bouquet that is particularly effective in promoting sleep for babies and children. If, in rare cases, the effect does not occur immediately, then you should not become impatient, as hops sometimes only develop their full power after one or two weeks.
